Dove irks me

It says: "New Dove firming. As tested on real curves". Excuse me, but what the fuck? Those models are beautiful and fine. They don't need some product to be "firm." I'm guessing the company wants to seem progressive by using non-anorexic models, but even me, who usually doesn't pay much attention to marketing nonsense, was in disbelief. At the least, get a marketing .manager who is with it. I, for one, am disappointed enough that I am no longer gonna use DOVE products.

This campaign has been on over here about a year or so. Or let it be half a year, I didn't pay close attention.

This campaign still freaks me out - wherever I pass by these posters, I think "Yeah, use Dove and even YOU can look beautiful, or what."

In the tv ad, they display a triple-F-bra woman, for only seconds, but they display her. She doesn't appear, however, in the print ads. Not so "beautiful" after all, or what?

It should be known that this "firm skin" thing is minimal, if at all, perceivable. It's such a lie! The secret lies in nutrition and workout, not in a body lotion.

I used to love marketing and advertising work, but it is campaigns like this is having me think twice about my next job.
