Pablito!

So lucky we are. A few years ago, Pablo and Santi joined Campalicious at Burning Man. We had tons of fun, but hadn't communicated since. And thanks to Elida and Amir, we were fortunate enough to get in touch with Pablo who grew up and lives in BsAs! It just so happened that when we finally emailed one afternoon, Pablo (very left) was heading to a drumming event with his friends, so he invited us. It was an early evening thing, and with a DJ mixed in with the drumming, it set the mood for the evening perfectly. As folks poured out into the streets after the event, I could sense it was the best warm-up for later events such as a fun dinner or a night out. We went home - but super happy. Total thanks to Pablito!!
Big bucket of gelato we bought because we needed change for a cab. Not a bad purchase at all. Next is Tesla trying out swings... with that beautiful cathedral behind her.

And one of the merry-go-rounds that Tesla is fond of. She doesn't quite know what to make of it all, but she knows she wants to be on it.

Has Tesla been to the carousel in Tilden Park in Berkeley? It's beautiful.
They also have several carousels and other rides for toddlers in Happy Hollow Park and Zoo in San Jose -- old fashioned and charming and great for the little ones.

For a slightly longer, all-day trip from SF there is Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park which is totally amazing . They have several carousels, lots of rides for tots (and for the whole family where parents ride along), and a beautiful nature setting.

Great America Theme Park in Santa Clara is fun and has a part for small children, but is quite noisy and crowded on weekends, but fun during the week.
