**Actually, Paul, who is in Japan, was going to do 2 postings during this hour while I crashed. Turns out he didn't so there's a gap here but I'll make it up :)

Here we go: Project Blog 2004. Sheesh. This is hard! 5 am my time! You will never see me like this otherwise... Oi!! Please pledge to the animals!!
I had to leave work in San Mateo to get to Berkeley for the BlogOn conference. With Friday traffic, I was proud that I thought of taking the San Mateo bridge, instead of going through SF and taking the Bay Bridge. I had the convertible top down, sun shining, music playing...all good, until I just missed the I80 East to Berkeley and found myself on I80 West towards SF. Surely there will be an exit to get off, I thought...but no! I had to go through the toll and on to the bridge! どんまいどんまい (donmai donmai)= no worries...I can handle this, I again comforted myself. I'll get off at Treasure Island and circle back. But I missed that too cuz I was on the wrong side of the freaking bridge (because in my mind, I remembered the Treasure Island on-ramp as being on the right, while the exit is on the left). So, I actually went to SF and back.
For those who don't know the Bay Area, that's like trying to fly from Tokyo to San Francisco and forgetting to get off the plane so you arrive in New York and have to get right back on the plane to go back.
Any scientists studying the "driving direction indicator" gene?? Help me, please!!
